The Company

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for supporting the procurement process within the organization. You will assist in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services in accordance with company policies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Sourcing and Vendor Management

  • Identify potential suppliers/vendors through market research and networking.
  • Request and analyze quotations, proposals, and bids from vendors.

 

Purchase Order Processing

  • Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Track and monitor order status, resolving any discrepancies or issues as they arise.

 

Negotiation and Cost Management

  • Support in negotiating terms and pricing with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
  • Work towards achieving cost reduction goals while maintaining quality standard

 

Inventory Management

  • Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, lead time and consumption patterns.
  • Coordinate with planner to ensure accurate inventory records and timely replenishment.

 

Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain procurement records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

Communication and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and finance to support procurement objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
     

Required Skills

  • Degree from an accredited institution in related field, or previous experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
