Job Purpose

As the Performance Assurance Lead, your role involves overseeing several Australian customer mine sites, as assigned to you. Your primary responsibility is to regularly review the usage and status of Modular products deployed at these sites. By collaborating closely with customers, you will identify improvement opportunities based on your findings. Your ultimate goal is to optimize fleet usage, enhance production efficiency, and achieve cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Customers: Establish a strong working relationship with customers. Leverage your expertise in mining production operations, mine planning, grade control, and statistical data analytics to drive effective internal communication.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize your knowledge of Modular Mining’s Dispatch and other products to provide valuable insights. Work alongside a team of PA Engineers to analyze data and create visualizations that effectively communicate improvement strategies to customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with Modular product developments. Engage with other departments to conduct regular reviews with customers, focusing on their ongoing action items log (JoiFUL). Identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimization Expertise: Leverage your understanding of production scheduling and optimization techniques. Maximize material movement within the customer site’s primary haulage fleet.

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday and will work in a hybrid work environment with the main office located at Milton QLD.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Equipment Utilization and Efficiency Analysis:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of primary mining production equipment usage.
  • Identify opportunities for system efficiency improvements and optimization.

User Proficiency and Compliance Analysis:

  • Assess system user proficiency and adherence to established procedures.
  • Recommend enhancements to enhance user compliance.

Customer Improvement Projects:

  • Coordinate internal resources within Modular to support customer improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage relevant skills and expertise to drive positive outcomes.

Haulage Production Planning and Simulation:

  • Analyse haulage production plans and simulate scenarios.
  • Optimize material movement within the fleet.

Technical Knowledge and Development:

  • Stay informed about technical advancements, policies, and procedures.
  • Apply expertise in production scheduling and optimization.

Improvement Roadmap Creation:

  • Develop customized improvement roadmaps for each customer.
  • Collaborate with the Training Supervisor and Key Account Manager to identify coaching and training opportunities.

Commercial Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the responsible Key Account Manager for each site by referring all commercial matters to them.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or an equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with proven knowledge in mining production, equipment, scheduling, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and experience in identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including formal report writing.
  • Strong computer skills, including remote connections, and data transfers.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Fleet Management Systems
  • Continuous Improvement experience and certification
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and a good understanding of databases
